WHAT IS SHASSIC?
Health and Safety Rating System for the Construction Industry or the abbreviation “SHASSIC” is an approach or method used to evaluate the safety and health in the workplace / site.
This evaluation system will provide many benefits to the parties involved in the construction industry as contractors, developers, relevant Government Departments. Local Authority and the Customer to identify the status of health and safety aspects are practiced at a construction site.
This assessment system developed by the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) in collaboration with Technical Committee representing all the interested organizations in the construction industry. SHASSIC is one of the Construction Industry Standards (CIS 10: 2008) which was developed by the Technical Committee..
