PUTRAJAYA: Speedier loan approvals for civil servants is now possible with the launch of an integrated housing loan portal.
Treasury deputy secretary-general (management) Datuk Nozirah Bahari launched the portal here yesterday.
She said the portal would speed up the approval process for loans.
“First-time applicants applying for housing loans online would get conditional approval immediately.
“The applicant would need to make payment for processing the loan using the reference number given,” she said, adding that arrangements had been made with Maybank2u and CIMBClicks.
She said with the portal, users can view their application and repayment status, progress payments, delivery of titles, loan balance as well as annual statements.
In her speech, she said the loans division was set up in 1970 to provide housing loans to civil servants.
She said online payment was implemented in 2009.
“In July last year, the division started electronic fund transfers to developers,” Nozirah added.
She said the portal would help reduce enquiries through the telephone.
